Important Message - Changes to Programme

We have been informed at very short notice that the release date for 20th Century Women has been put back. This means that we have had to cancel all screenings of the film in the week 17-23 February and will now be showing the film on Sat 11 and Wed 15 March.

In place of the cancelled screenings of 20th Century Women we have put on extra screenings of the very popular Manchester By The Sea on Fri 17 and Sat 18 February, and Jackie on Tue 21 - Thu 23 February.

We are very sorry for any disappointment - it's one of those unforeseen last minute changes that have had to happen because of release date changes but hope that the treat of being able to see Jackie a bit earlier, and Manchester By The Sea, both before they play it out at the Oscars, will make up for it.

We are contacting everyone who has already bought tickets for 20th Century Women to offer a refund, credit, or to switch to a different film or screening. If we haven't yet spoken to you and you have tickets booked for 20th Century Women, please give us a call on 01752 206114 or email info@plymouthartscentre.org.

In 1979 Santa Barbara, Dorothea Fields is a determined single mother in her mid-50s who is raising her adolescent son, Jamie, at a moment brimming with cultural change and rebellion. She decides to enlist the help of two younger women, Abbie, a punk artist living as a boarder in the Fields' home and Julie, a savvy teenage neighbour to help with Jamie's upbringing. Benning is simply astonishing in this funny, nuanced, lovely film.

Dir. Mike Mills, US, 2016, 118 mins.
Cast. Annette Benning, Elle Fanning, Greta Gerwig, Billy Crudup.
