Please note that from April 1st 2017, an overnight charge of £2 applies for pay and display parking on Looe Street between 6pm and 8am. This is part of Plymouth City Council's citywide overhaul of parking charges. We understand that this makes it difficult to park on Looe Street for an early film (it affects staff and volunteers working at the early evening screening too).

The machines will take overpayment, for example, if you arrive for an early film at 5.30pm, you can purchase a 30 minute ticket to cover the period before the evening charge of £2.00. Therefore if you put in a total of £2.75 this would produce a ticket that is valid until 8am the following day.

We have considered moving our early evening screening to after 6pm, but this would push the later film back, making public transport difficult for many people.

We are in discussions with Plymouth City Council about whether there is anything they can do to help with this matter. If the new charges are affecting your visits to Plymouth Arts Centre we encourage you to email the council at parking@plymouth.gov.uk to make them aware of this - as a local independent business and a charity your support is very important to us.
